La Jolla Family Portraits | San Diego Family Photographer

Spring wildflowers in San Diego are always a favorite, but add in a beautiful La Jolla view and one of my very favorite families and this session was extra special. This family is so incredibly near and dear to my heart, and getting to photograph them again meant a lot to me. We are forever holding their sweet boy close and missing him right alongside them. There are some families who become so much more than clients over the years, and I feel incredibly lucky that photography brought this one into my life.

La Jolla is ridiculously pretty year-round, but spring really shows off when the wildflowers arrive! I love having all that color mixed with the open views, especially for family photos where we can let the kids move around and get plenty of candid moments along the way. Photos become more important as the years pass, and sessions like this are such a reminder of why I want families to get in the frame together exactly as they are. These aren't just pretty pictures for right now. They're little pieces of your family's story that you get to keep.
