Balboa Park Senior Pictures | San Diego Senior Photographer

Balboa Park is one of my favorite spots for senior photos when we want a little more architecture and personality in the background! For this senior session, we photographed around the exterior of the San Diego Natural History Museum and over near the Prado Theatre, giving us a bunch of different looks within a pretty small area. It worked SO well for his senior pictures, and his sister hopped in for a few updated headshots while we were there too. I am always happy to sneak in a few quick photos like that when we have the opportunity!

Balboa Park is also a great choice for senior guys who aren't necessarily dreaming about frolicking through a field for their senior portraits. There are cool buildings, stairs, textured walls, and plenty of spots where we can keep things relaxed and natural without making the session feel overly posed. If your senior isn't exactly counting down the days until their photo session, choosing a location with lots of variety helps us keep moving and keeps the whole thing easy. Senior photos don't have to feel like a giant production. We'll walk around, find good light, get a bunch of different looks, and before they know it, we're done!
