A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME…

The Personal Stuff

I’m a born & raised San Diego-an (bonus points if you catch the reference). Third generation, actually. I originally went to college to be an elementary school teacher, because even though I listed “photographer” on literally all of the MySpace surveys that asked for my dream job, I never really thought normal people actually got to do stuff like that for careers. It was only after I graduated from SDSU & backpacked Europe with my (now) husband for 3 months that I realized just HOW much I loved photography & decided to follow my dreams. I finally gave myself permission to start my business in the spring of 2009, and I haven’t looked back since.

I live in the Bonita area (southeast San Diego County) with my husband & two young kiddos (currently 6 & 4). Prior to having our kiddos, my husband & I traveled to 34 countries spanning across parts of North America, Europe, Asia, & Africa. As a family, we enjoy outings to the zoo, BBQing in the backyard, & having friends over for playdates.

I speak almost entirely in Friends references, & have practically worshipped Justin Timberlake since 1996. I like a good double IPA & have this annoying habit of stopping for an iced coffee anytime I have to drive somewhere. When I discover a new song I love, I could literally listen to it on repeat for months.

The Work Stuff

I’ve been a professional photographer full-time for almost 15 years. In that time, I’ve photographed over 2,000 different families, hundreds of engagements, & dozens of half-day lifestyle sessions.

I shoot with a Canon 5d mkIV camera & a variety of L-glass lenses. I bring backup equipment with me to every single session, and shoot everything on two memory cards just to be safe. I understand that things happen & files get lost, so I keep client photos backed up for at least one year on my personal hard drive, & client galleries are preserved even longer online.

I have a solid 5 star rating on Yelp with over 100 reviews, and a 5 star Google rating as well. I’ve been featured on multiple blogs & publications, and was recently features in an art gallery showcase of prominent women photographers in San Diego.

I’m punctual. Like, ridiculously so. In fact, I can almost guarantee that wherever our session is (short of your home), I’ll be there before you.

Oh, and I’ll always ALWAYS check your wrists for hair ties before we start our session.
