Point Loma Family Photos | San Diego Family Photographers

Sometimes the weather decides to give you something way better than the perfectly sunny San Diego evening you were expecting! We had just had a storm roll through literally RIGHT before this Point Loma family session, and the sky was SO cool. All of those lingering clouds gave us tons of texture and drama over the water, and everything felt a little moodier than our usual beach evenings in the best possible way. I love when San Diego surprises us like this because no two galleries ever end up looking exactly the same.

Point Loma is such a great option for family photos if you want the coast without necessarily going for the traditional wide-open sandy beach look. And a cloudy forecast (and even some light drizzle) definitely isn't a reason to panic before your session! Clouds can give us beautiful soft light, interesting skies, and sometimes a sunset that comes completely out of nowhere once the storm starts clearing.
