Imperial Beach Senior Portraits | San Diego Senior Photographers

Senior photos at the beach just make sense in San Diego, and Imperial Beach is one of my favorite spots when you want something relaxed and a little less expected. There’s plenty of room to walk around, move, and get a bunch of different looks without making the session feel overly posed. I want senior portraits to actually look like YOU, not like you spent an hour being told exactly where to put your hands. A little movement, some wind in your hair, bare feet in the sand if that’s your thing, and suddenly being in front of the camera feels a whole lot easier. And for most boys, this is definitely KEY to them having an experience that actually ends up being FUN!

When you’re choosing a location for your senior pictures, think about where you’ll feel comfortable just as much as what will look pretty in the background. If you’re a beach person, there’s really no reason to trade that for a location that doesn’t feel like you just because it seems more “senior portrait-ish.” Imperial Beach gives us that classic Southern California look while still feeling casual and fun, which is exactly what I want for my San Diego senior sessions. Your senior photos get to be about who you are right now, and there’s no better backdrop for a San Diego kid than a place that feels like home.
