Point Loma Family Portraits | San Diego Family Photography

I will never complain when San Diego gives me a big, interesting sky for family photos! We photographed this family in Point Loma right after a storm had passed through, and instead of our usual clear blue skies, we got these gorgeous clouds hanging around over the coast. It made the whole session feel a little different, and I loved it. Give me pretty light, a family ready to have some fun, and a sky doing something cool in the background and I am HAPPY.

This is a good reminder that your family photo session doesn't need perfect weather to be beautiful. In fact, some of my favorite San Diego family sessions have happened on days when the forecast looked a little questionable! The softer light after a storm can be incredibly flattering, and those clouds add so much interest to the final photos. Point Loma already has such a quintessential San Diego coastal feel, so adding that post-storm sky made this particular evening extra fun to photograph.
