Balboa Park Senior Portraits | San Diego Senior Photography

Senior photos do NOT have to be a serious hour of standing around posing by yourself, and this Balboa Park session was a perfect example! We wandered around, found some of my favorite spots, and kept the whole thing really relaxed. His girlfriend came along and jumped in for a few photos, and his adorable little nephew made a guest appearance too. I love when seniors bring people who are part of their everyday life because it immediately makes the session feel more comfortable, and those bonus photos usually end up being some pretty great ones.

Balboa Park is especially good for senior guys because we can get a ton of variety without making the session feel like a huge production. There are cool buildings, interesting textures, greenery, and plenty of places to stop for a few photos before moving on to the next spot. If your senior guy is less than thrilled about the idea of senior pictures, bring someone who makes him laugh and don't worry about him knowing how to pose. That's my job! We'll keep moving, keep it easy, and get photos that actually look like him instead of forcing a bunch of awkward senior-photo poses.
