San Diego Pet and Family Photographer: Balboa Park

This sweet family met me at Balboa Park for their family photo session, and they brought along a very important member of the family: their adorable pup.

As our pets get older, it becomes harder to ignore how quickly time is passing. Their faces get a little grayer, and they may be slowing down a little. I always tell families that the photos they'll treasure most years from now are often not the ones they expect. Of course you'll love seeing how little your kids were, but you'll also notice things you aren't paying much attention to right now like missing teeth or a certain smile habit. This is true for 4-legged family members too! This dog did great, and we made sure to capture plenty of images with the whole family together, along with a few photos focused just on him. Those are often the images that become priceless later. I’m so glad this family didn’t wait.

Thinking about family photos at Balboa Park? It's one of my favorite locations in San Diego for families, kids, and dogs alike, and it's beautiful any time of year, and it was the perfect location for this session. There is so much variety in the park, and I love how the beautiful architecture and greenery create a timeless backdrop without distracting from the people in the photos.
